The quality of a weld does not end with its execution
Each joint must be verified – that is why the next stage of the process is non-destructive testing (NDT).
The photos show penetrant testing (PT) – a method that allows the detection of surface discontinuities invisible to the naked eye:
▪️ microcracks
▪️ open porosity
▪️ surface-breaking lack of fusion
▪️ linear discontinuities
PT testing consists of:
📌 thorough cleaning of the surface,
📌 application of a penetrant with high penetration capacity,
📌 removal of excess agent,
📌 application of a developer that ‘pulls’ the penetrant out of the discontinuity,
📌 evaluation of the indications by qualified personnel.
This method is fast, effective and extremely sensitive in detecting surface defects – particularly important for structural and installation components.
The test was carried out by WeldsTesting Bartłomiej Bianga – an independent unit specialising in quality control and NDT testing.
At For Industry Engineering, quality control is not an addition to the process.
It is an integral part of it.
🟢 We verify compliance with standard requirements.
🟢 We eliminate risk before transferring the component to further production.
🟢 We document the test results.
🟢 We care about the safety of the end user.
Because in industry, quality is not a declaration.
It is a confirmed test result. ✔️
